Samba In Liverpool?

The UK’s biggest Brazilian Samba Carnival Taking Place in Liverpool City Centre Friday 12th – Saturday 20th July 2013

Brazilica is an exciting festival that brings a taste of Brazil’s carnival atmosphere to the streets of Liverpool’s city centre. The festival has something for everyone including music, dance, art, sport, culture, food and film for the whole family. All of which provide the backdrop to the Liverpool Carnival Company’s spectacular Saturday night-time parade!

The festival consists of two elements that truly offer something for everyone to enjoy including music, dance, art, sport, culture, food and film:

  • Friday 12th – Friday 19th July 2013: A week-long festival celebrating the vibrant culture of Brazil with over twenty events taking place at venues across the city
  • Saturday 20th July 2013: free city centre carnival and stunning night-time carnival parade

Brazilica 2013 is set to be the biggest event yet with samba bands from all over the world donning their costumes to be a part of one of the world’s most exciting samba festivals.

Carnival Parade

Irresistible samba rhythms. Glittering carnival costumes. Spectacular carnival floats. Saturday 20th July from 8PM. Liverpool city centre. 2013 will see the Liverpool Carnival Company’s sixth Samba Carnival Parade sweep through the streets of Liverpool city centre. Since its inception in 2008, the parade has seen thousands of international samba performers from countries such as Brazil, Singapore, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Ireland and from all over the UK descend upon the city to take part in the UK’s biggest samba carnival. In 2012, the parade attracted an audience of tens of thousands of people to the streets of the city – a figure which we are expecting to top this year!
