Soca Is Alive After Carnival 2013

The first Point Fortin Borough Day Soca Monarch and Dance Competition final, will take place on Wednesday 1st of May 2013, at 7pm in Festival Square, Point Fortin. The competition will be in honour of Soca legend Austin Superblue Lyons, the 2013 Road March and joint Power Soca Monarch.

The Madd T and G Spot Lounge collaboration, aims to promote Soca outside of the carnival season to the younger generation. Madd T’s Wayne Thomas, hopes the competition will become an annual event and will be opened up to regional and international Soca artists.

The sixteen finalists will compete for the single $30,000 prize and will appear in this order;
